Sumac and Onion Turkish Salad

This super simple Onion and Sumac salad is my all time favorite. You just cannot have Turkish food without this salad.

Red Onions
(thinly sliced)

Sumac or Pomegranate powder

tbsp.
Parsley
(chopped)

Juice of Lemon

Chilies or 2 tsp
(finely sliced)

Sugar
(optional)

Olive Oil
(optional)
Instructions
Finely slice the red onion, separate the strands and transfer into a mixing bowl.
Now add finely sliced Chilies (optional that's if you want a slight kick to the salad).
Add 2 tbsp. Sumac powder and mix well.
Finely add the chopped parsley and add the juice of half a lemon.
Serve along side mixed grill's, adana kebabs and many more Turkish dishes.
Notes
Sumac can be replaced with Pomegranite powder (anardana powder)
Parsley can also be replaced with Cilantro / Coriander leaves
